Speaker Spotlight: Occupational Care Services at the Michigan Safety Conference

Meet the Speakers

Nicole Adams-Gibson, CEO brings over 30 years of experience in occupational health and safety. As the founder of OCS, now entering its 10th year, Nicole has dedicated her career to improving workplace health programs. She has spoken at industry events such as the AGC conference earlier this month, demonstrating her commitment to advancing safety practices. Raised with a strong work ethic and a love for knowledge, Nicole is passionate about leading by example and treating others with kindness and respect. A history enthusiast and outdoor adventurer, she channels her entrepreneurial spirit into helping others through her work in occupational health.

Valencia Hirmiz, DNP, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). With seven years of experience as a registered nurse and two years as an advanced practice provider in urgent care and occupational medicine, she brings a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of workplace health. Dr. Hirmiz is well-versed in occupational health best practices, ensuring employees receive high-quality care while supporting workplace safety initiatives. Beyond the clinic, she is committed to giving back, whether through volunteering at health fairs or fostering animals in need. An avid traveler who has explored 15 countries, she values the connections she builds both professionally and personally.
